HERLIN (Aust. & NZ) is a loosely organised collective of various home educators who are concerned about government intervention and regulation of home education.   We are all fundamentally of a similar belief that it is primarily the parent's responsibility to provide a relevant and appropriate education for their children, and that they should have the freedom to fulfil that responsibility how they see fit.  This is not a formal group, there is no membership fee. The only 'string' attached is that we wish to promote tolerance and respect among the very different philosophies of home education.We would also like to encourage people to contribute, in small ways as well as big, after all, every little bit counts.

           Please note that the information on this site has been collated from a variety of sources and some submissions have been written by volunteers who are Home Educators experienced in the legal situation in the various States of Australia, who have consulted with trained legal experts but who HAVE NO FORMAL LEGAL TRAINING themselves.
